Dominick J. Sacci lives by the “Golden Rule” and conducts himself as the leader he would want to follow. He prides himself on not being a “yes man” and considers
every company decision by first thinking of the effect it will have on the staff at Better
Homes and Gardens Real Estate Wilkins & Associates, where he is president.
Sacci relies on loyalty, being effective, ethical conduct and always “showing up.”
As a boy, he had the examples of both his father and stepfather. “You can say it
was destiny for me to become involved in the real estate industry,” he said.
He has been a licensed realtor since he was 18. When he started, Sacci had
been home-schooled from the age of 10 and was pursuing the arts — through
dance, live theater, painting, writing and composing music. He suffered a sprain
before an audition for Walt Disney World in Orlando. Then, after 18 months off, he
headed to the world of real estate.
He has been on the Pocono Mountain Association of Realtors (PMAR) new member,
grievance, and finance committees. He has been named “Rookie of the Year
1995,” “Outstanding Salesperson 1996 and 1999,” and “Employee of the Year 2002,”
as well as numerous other achievements.
He is most proud of his involvement in his community—the Muscular Dystrophy
Association; the Sons of Italy; food drives for the Monroe County Children &
Youth Services; and “Relay for Life” for the American Cancer Society.
Among other duties, he oversees the general real estate operations of the firm and is
responsible for managing a staff of approximately 40 employees, 100 realtors, three
managers, and six department heads.
“Before I met my wife, Sylwia, I lived to work; now I work to live,” he said. He
has a son Sebastian, 2, and a baby due in April. He attributes his success to being
homeschooled and traveling the country.
“I learned at an early age to never settle and to always learn,” he said.
