Ryan Wilson, CPA, CFP, loves what he does, takes pride in it, and strives to be a thought leader in his field.

Wilson, first vice-president of wealth management at Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, works closely with clients to develop an investment plan to grow and to preserve wealth — gathering information, developing customized plans and providing sound advice.

"What makes my practice different is that I personally prepare my clients’ financial plans. As a certified financial planner, I am able to address my clients most complicated financial situations competently, which makes my job very fulfilling,” he said. “Because my practice is more labor-intensive and customized, I limit the number of clients and focus on higher-net-worth families and business owners — their financial plans tend
to be more involved and geared more toward my knowledge base.”

Having grown up in Moscow, he graduated from North Pocono High School and
received his bachelor’s degree in business and economics with a major in accounting
from Lehigh University. He completed the wealth management certification program at The Wharton School of Business and obtained his accredited wealth management advisor designation. He is also a CPA.

He began his career as a public accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
Then, at the age of 24, he entered the financial advisory industry and has been
there ever since. He came to the Montage mountain office of Janney Montgomery
Scott in March of 2009.

Wilson works hard during the week in order to spend the weekend with his
wife, Rena, and two little girls, Eliza and Nina, at home. In addition to his family,
his role models are his parents — his hardworking father and inspiring mother,
and also the late Jerry Klein, the person who gave him his start 11 years ago.
