This holiday season, riders of the Stourbridge Line Rail Excursion can climb on board and travel back in time to the Victorian village of Hawley’s Winterfest.

For one day only, Saturday, Dec. 12, at  noon., riders can take the Stourbridge Line in Honesdale for an old-fashioned, round-trip train ride that takes in all the sights and sounds of the season.

As the spirit of the season takes over downtown Hawley, enjoy visits with Santa, Mrs. Claus and "Wilburrr" the Snowman.

Hawley will travel back to its Victorian roots. Throughout the Borough ice carving displays and other artisans will demonstrate skills from days gone by. The Ritz Theatre Playhouse will have a free holiday show at 2:30 pm., suitable for the whole family. The Hawley Library has planned Gingerbread Cookie Decorating, Christmas crafts for kids, lace making and tatting demonstrations, author book signings and "Jingle Bell Jazz."

Tickets for the special Winterfest excursion are $20 for adults, $15 for children 12 and under, and free for children two and under if they are lap held. Tickets can be purchased by contacting the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce at (570) 253-1960. Visit  www.waynecountycc.com.
