MAEA to hold HR oundtable on the benefits of hiring veterans

The Northeast Pennsylvania Manufacturers and Employers Association (MAEA) will hold a HR Roundtable from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. discussing the benefits of hiring veterans on Oct. 24 at the Top of the 80’s in Hazleton. Presenter Allen Smith, veteran employment representative, PA CareerLink, will present. Topics to be covered include key skill assets that veterans bring to the workforce, “VOW to hire heroes act”, tax incentives for hiring veterans, and resources to locate veterans to hire.
