As a principal in the law firm of Marshall, Parker & Associates, Atty. Kevin R. Grebas believes it is essential to work hard to achieve career objectives, but it’s also important to maintain an appropriate balance.

His focus is on asset protection planning, estate planning, special needs planning, veterans’ benefit planning and estate administration. Atty. Grebas takes great satisfaction in helping people to protect themselves from the devastating costs of nursing home care. “I help people to plan their estates in a way that will meet their goals for passing assets to their loved ones while ensuring autonomy and dignity during throughout their lifetime in the event of incapacity,” he said.

He also assists veterans and their spouses attaining veterans’ benefits. He feels fortunate to work with “an incredibly caring” group of people who are committed to providing compassionate service to clients.

He helps raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association, as well as organizes and participates in many volunteer events. He currently serves as president of the Young Lawyers’ Division of the Wilkes-Barre Law & Library Association and has previously held the positions of vice-president, treasurer and secretary as well. In addition, he is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and its Elder Law Section; the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys; the Plan Advisory Committee of LIFE Geisinger program; the Estate Planning Council of NEPA and a lector at Divine Mercy Parish in Scranton.

He is certified as an elder law attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation and has been named a Super Lawyer “Rising Star” for 2010 and 2011.

His advice is to get involved in the community. He said he is grateful to his law partners, Jeff Marshall and Matt Parker, for realizing his potential. He resides with his wife, Gina, and his son, Jude.
